Access2000 contains a bug that causes jet to use page locking when you directly open a database from a windows shortcut or by double-click on an .mdb file from windows explorer. This happens regardless of whether you have checked of the options dialog box. To avoid this bug, you need to start access without loading a database and then open the database once access has started. There is no way to avoid the bug when using the access run-time! As we went to press, this bug had not been fixed but it is possible that a future service pack of access 2000 or the jet engine may fix the bug

ผมเองก็เคยเจอปัญหากับ A2K หลายๆ อย่าง เช่น
1. รายงานจะไม่เก็บค่าการตั้งหน้ากระดาษถ้ามีการเรียกใช้ Name AutoCorrect
ซึ่งเขาว่ามีการแก้ไขแล้วใน SP หลังๆ
และ feature นี้ ผมเรียกใช้แล้วมันยังไม่ทำงานให้สมบูรณ์
2. มีปัญหาการใช้ฟ้อนท์ที่เป็น Barcode คือมันจะไม่แสดงออกมาเป็น Barcode ให้
และที่แจ้งผมมานี่แหล่ะครับ
ผมแนะนำให้ใช้ AXP ดีกว่านะครับ หรือลองหา SP ล่าสุดของ A2K มาใช้ดูว่ามันจะยังมีบักเหล่านี้หรือเปล่า
และที่แน่ๆ บักของ Round() ยังมีอยู่เหมือนเดิมทุกเวอร์ชัน แม้แต่ใน VB ตัวใหญ่เองก็ตาม

ผมใช้ access2000 อยู่ ประมาณ 12 user ผมมีปัญหาประจำเวลา user ใช้ แล้วทำการdouble click ซำที่ shortcut แล้วเปิด program 2 ครั้งทำให้ user ที่เปิดอีกเปิดไม่ได้ ต้องออกจากระบบมา compact and repair (ผมใช้วิธีการShare File ไม่ได้ attach mdb)
